Industrial Electrician

Industrial Electrician: We are currently seeking a highly detailed self-starter for this position.  The Industrial electrician will be responsible to troubleshoot, maintain, repair and modify all electrical systems at our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant.

Selected candidate will have 5 year of related warehouse experience in food manufacturing plant.  Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Key Responsibilities Include:  Ensure operation of electrical equipment by completing preventative maintenance on all equipment and machinery.
  •  Make layout of electrical circuits.
  • Make up material and parts lists.
  • Do or direct all maintenance wiring, installation of motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting, testing and power circuits. Basic circuit installations may include laying out and bending conduit, pulling wire, land wiring, testing, and finalizing circuit installation
  • Determine proper size and specifications of wire, conduit, switches, panels, fuses, transformers, etc.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and circuit diagrams.
  • Inspect motors, switches, junction boxes, switch panels, circuit breakers, transformers, fuse panels, lighting, heating, and power circuits. Make preventative and running repairs and corrections.
  • Do or direct installation, connection, adjustment, and calibration of electrical gauges and recording instruments. Conduct system testing using electrical circuit instrumentation or devices.
  • Must have applicable licensing.
  • May supervise other electricians.
  • May make repairs on ignition and electrical systems of automotive equipment.
  • May rewind motors.
  • Committed to safety and food safety, including use of appropriate PPE.
  • Must possess and use personal hand tools.
  • Demonstrable experience leading electrical installation tasks; designing and building control and electrical panels; and installing sub-stations and medium voltage panels and transformers.
  • Skilled with creating and reviewing applicable drawings and schematics.
  • Familiar with NEC and UL Standards, electrical abbreviations, symbols.
  • Able to install, program, and troubleshoot VFDs.
  • Background in solid state circuitry and devices, high voltage D.C. rectifiers and control circuits.
  • Basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding knowledge and experience.
