FOOD SAFETY & QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
Write quality assurance and food safety policies and SQF programs, responsible for FDA compliance, formulate direct and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for the quality assurance department, and oversee the Resolution of nonconforming areas. Establishing, implementing, and maintaining programs necessary for Food Safety, Quality Systems, HACCP, GMP, SQF Food Safety Code, and other regulatory/compliance or customer-specific programs, including Food Security. Supervise and manage the Quality Assurance Department (consisting of Quality Assurance Supervisors and Quality Assurance Technicians) to ensure quality standards are met, and customer satisfaction is achieved. Monitor laboratory testing and results to ensure the highest standards are met. Establish the position as the in-plant expert on pickled and acidified product quality and food safety.
The candidate must have:
- HACCP AND PCQI CERTIFICATION FROM A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED AND ACCREDITED TRAINING FIRM
- ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN FSMA AND SQF/BRC OR ANY GFSI SYSTEMS
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology or related degree AND five (5) years of progressive related experience as a FSQA Manager, FSQA Coordinator, or related.
